Round drums do not transport well, that is why KUHN uses drums with two flat sides for optimal crop transport without the risk of blockages. Movement of the crop has an impact on the mowing quality. It is for this reason that KUHN has chosen to use exchangeable transport strips.
The cutting height can be adjusted by adding or removing the optional spacers. This can be easily reached and infinitely adjusted.
The freely rotating saucers have a major advantage. In uneven ground conditions, the saucer ‘rotates’ over the ground rather than sliding, thus protecting the stubble and reducing PTO power requirement. The positive effects of reduced crop contamination will be particularly noticeable on sensitive soils such as boggy land.
Using the special tool, you can push the knife holder down and simply replace the knifes. It is a quick and secure system.
Damage to the side covers is now a thing of the past. The KUHN FLEXPROTECT flexible side covers add a new dimension to these mowers with their design made of polythene. On encountering any obstacles, the material of the side cover bends, without breaking or damaging the mower. The material then returns back to its original shape.
The LIFT-CONTROL hydro-pneumatic suspension system continually ensures a uniform ground pressure and a lower pulling power requirement. The system minimises crop contamination and maximises stubble preservation. The combination of the trailed
linkage geometry and LIFT-CONTROL creates a safety breakaway system for superior machine protection and non-stop mowing.
All features on the PZ 3015 are designed for maximum operator comfort. The sophisticated headstock design ensures easy folding and unfolding and a safe road transport. Easy access and cleaning is offered by the foldable side guards. The side cover lock is simple and effective in both work and service position.
The PZ 3015 comes with an optional parking stand for vertical storage to 3.6m. This is useful to optimise storage space.
The front cover can be folded away, allowing easy access to the blades. This is perfect for daily inspections and mower maintenance.
The trailed linkage geometry of the PZ 3015 headstock provides excellent ground following in all circumstances, even on slopes and banks up to 25°.
For stable transport the machine has a folding transport position of 128°, the weight of the machine is placed more evenly between the rear wheels. This increases the safety and comfort in transport significantly and the tractor lights are always visible. The trailed linkage geometry enables a low transport height of 3.6 m, with a ground clearance of 0,5 m.
