GA 13131 and GA 15131 four rotor rakes deliver central swaths. They work between 8.40 m and 14.70 m and feature a 100% hydraulic drive system which saves one hour of maintenance per day.

One hour less maintenance, one more hour of raking! The rotor hydraulic drive is achieved by hydraulic pumps driven by a single pto-shaft to minimise maintenance. Forget the daily greasing of secondary transmissions. You save up to an hour compared to a mechanical-drive rake of the same size. An asset that can make a difference when the rain threatens to fall and the forage must be quickly collected. This means that maintenance needs are limited. Other benefits are added to this: smooth and silent operation and minimal wear and tear.
The hydraulic unit of the GA 13131 and GA 15131 rakes is positioned on the pivoting headstock of the machine’s chassis. The primary pto-shaft is thus always perfectly aligned with the tractor, even in tight corners. In addition, the pto speed can be modified from the cabin for perfect adaptation to forage type and volume. You can choose between two speeds, 1,000 or 750 rpm, to save fuel.
Uniform swaths are particularly appreciated by the drivers of the following harvesting machines as it facilitates swath pick-up. Smooth driving is the guarantee of higher operating comfort!
The two front rotor speeds can be increased by 20% in relation to the rear rotors, and without even leaving the tractor cab. With the boost function, forage is sent to the centre of the rake better with less knotting because the tool does not touch the ground. Therefore the rear rotors can form uniform and fluffy swaths. It is the ideal solution for improved forage drying.
The homogeneous quality and volume of the swath are conditions for fast drying and easy pick-up by the following baler.
The tine arms on GA rakes are in hyper-tangential position. This means that they reach a 90 degree angle very late. With the tines’ sharp-angled cam, tine clearance is quick, later and requires little rotational effort to produce regular, fluffy and straight swaths. Raking is of high quality even at high speeds because the forage is not pushed past the swath.
The advantages of double-curved arms:
Perfect rotor adaption to variations in the field is just as important as reduced ground pressure when it comes to protecting the ground and plant stubble.
Single rotor rakes are fully equipped to meet these requirements.
Each rotor is equipped with four wheels in tandem positioned extremely close to the rotor for optimised contour following on uneven plots.
All rotor adjustments are made from the terminal without stopping work:
A joystick can be connected to the control box to make the driver’s job even easier. There are two ISOBUS solutions for the two widths (CCI 50 control box or CCI 1200 terminal). Both of them have a colour touchscreen. It is also possible to use the tractor’s or farm’s existing ISOBUS terminal such as the VT 50, the CCI 200 or other competitor terminals. Contact your KUHN dealer for further information on equipment compatibility.
A pre-set sequence is integrated into the ISOBUS software to facilitate and optimise headland manoeuvres and turns. It can easily be adapted to your requirements. Angle sensors mean that the rotors are always raised to the pre-defined height, whatever the working width. When all pre-settings have been configured, you just have to press a button. Sit back and let the electronics do the work.
8.40 to 12.50 m and 9.50 to 14.70 m working widths enable the outstanding work output that characterises GA 13131 and GA 15131 rakes. These large widths require excellent machine adaptability to balers and forage wagons. Their adaption capacity allows you to adjust the width of the swath continuously and hydraulically from the cab:
For raking height adaption, the rotors can be adjusted simultaneously two-by-two at the front or the rear, or individually. Rotor height is displayed on the screen of the terminal and on the rotor frame.
The linkage system with integrated suspension makes driving smoother and improves stability between the tractor and the rake when turning. Badly-maintained roads are no longer a problem. You’ll appreciate the machine’s capacity on bends and its individual rotor lift with no jolting in the lift arms.
Despite their impressive size, these four rotor rakes are relatively compact in transport mode and easy to move around:
